Fly in Program

Step 1 – Getting Started

Fly-In For a Personal Consultation and Exam

Our practice routinely has patients from all over the U.S. and abroad. The majority of patients do the initial consultation in a virtual fashion, however some patients do travel to Austin for a personal consultation. We try to help accommodate these appointments on a Friday or Monday so that you can have a weekend getaway to discuss your surgery.

Or Receive a Virtual Consultation

Ideal for the out-of-town person who wants to receive a consultation from the comfort of their home. Learn more about the Virtual Consultation. The virtual consultation process will allow you to submit your pictures and health information prior to traveling to Austin for your surgery. Once we have received this information you will be scheduled for a Skype call so that you can speak directly with one of our surgeons.

Once our surgeons have determined if you are a good candidate for surgery, our patient coordinators will contact you. They can discuss fees and other expenses as well as suggest hotel and post-operative care accommodations.

Step 2 – Scheduling Surgery

Once you have determined that you wish to proceed, the scheduling process begins. Your pre-operative appointment should take about 2 hours and will be spent in our office covering physical examination, pre and post-operative instruction, and review and signing of all consents. Surgery can then usually be performed the following day or two at one of our surgery centers.

Step 3 – Recovery

Typically, fly-in patients stay in Austin for approximately 7 to 14 days after surgery (depending on the surgery). In the event that you may feel a need for medical assistance after returning home, we are available to refer you to a local physician for check-ups. Your health and safety will remain our number one priority.

Our team frequently see patients throughout Texas and around the country for their surgery.
